एवं दण्डं प्रशंसन्ति पण्डितास्तत्त्वदर्शिन: । तस्माच्चतुष्टये तस्मिन्‌ प्रधानो दण्ड उच्यते

Translation

毗湿摩曰：洞见实相之智者皆如是称赞刑杖（danda）。故在四策——和（sāma）、赐（dāna）、离（bheda）、罚（daṇḍa）——之中，以刑杖为最要。
