Dasyu-maryādā and Buddhi-guided Rāja-nīti (दस्युमर्यादा तथा बुद्धिप्रधान-राजनीति)
भीष्म उवाच सैवमुक्त्वा शकुनिका ब्रह्मुदत्तं नराधिप । राजानं समनुज्ञाप्य जगामाभीप्सितां दिशम्,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--नरेश्वर! राजा ब्रह्मदत्तसे ऐसा कहकर वह पूजनी चिड़िया उनसे विदा ले अभीष्ट दिशाको चली गयी
bhīṣma uvāca | saivam uktvā śakunikā brahmadattaṃ narādhipa | rājānaṃ samanujñāpya jagāmābhīpsitāṃ diśam ||
毗湿摩说道:“大王,那只可敬的鸟对梵摩达多王如此陈说之后,依礼辞别,得其允准,便向自己所愿之方飞去。”
भीष्म उवाच
After giving counsel aligned with dharma, one should conclude respectfully—seeking leave, avoiding insistence or attachment, and allowing the listener (especially a ruler) to decide freely.
A revered bird (śakunikā), after speaking to King Brahmadatta, formally takes permission to depart and then leaves in the direction it wishes, marking the end of its instruction or message.
