सतां साप्तपदं मैत्रं स सखा मे5सि पण्डित: । सांवास्यकं करिष्यामि नास्ति ते भयमद्य वै

Transliteration

satāṁ sāptapadaṁ maitraṁ sa sakhā me ’si paṇḍitaḥ | sāṁvāsyakaṁ kariṣyāmi nāsti te bhayam adya vai ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“在贤善之人中，只要同走七步，友谊便已结成。你我在此久居相伴，因此你是我博学的朋友。我必定履行对同居者应尽的友道；所以从今日起，你无须再惧怕。”
