तस्योपरि सपत्नस्य बद्धस्य मनसा हसन् । आमिषे तु प्रसक्त: स कदाचिदवलोकयन्,जालके ऊपर मांस खानेमें लगा हुआ वह चूहा अपने शत्रुके ऊपर मन-ही-मन हँस रहा था। इतनेहीमें कभी उसकी दृष्टि दूसरी ओर घूम गयी
tasyopari sapatnasya baddhasya manasā hasan | āmiṣe tu prasaktaḥ sa kadācid avalokayan |
毗湿摩说道：“那老鼠在心中暗笑那被缚、卧于其下的对手，随即沉溺于诱饵（肉食）之中。正专心啃食之际，它一时将目光移向别处——由疏忽与自负埋下了局势反转的伏笔。”
