आपद्धर्मे कोशबलन्यायः | Treasury, Force, and Crisis-Ethics for the King
तब मुनिने कहा--राजन्! आपके उस पुत्रने पहले कभी मूढ़ बुद्धिका आश्रय लेकर अपने दुर्भाग्यके कारण एक पूजनीय महर्षिका अपमान कर दिया था ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | arthayan kalaśaṃ rājan kāñcanaṃ valkalāni ca | avajñāpūrvakeṇāpi na sampāditavāṃs tataḥ | nirviṇṇaḥ sa tu viprarṣiḥ niśiśe samapadyata rājan ||
毗湿摩说道：“大王啊，你的儿子曾一度依从愚昧之见，且为自身厄运所驱，早先冒犯了一位为世所敬的大圣仙。那圣仙索求一只金制水罐（迦罗沙）与树皮衣；然而你的儿子纵然显露轻慢，也未备办所求之物。于是那婆罗门圣仙深感沮丧，在夜里因失望而决意采取一条行动之路。”
