Āśā-prabhava (आशाप्रभव) — On the Rise and Power of Hope/Expectation
Sumitra Itihāsa Begins
।। ततो भयं प्रादुरासीत् प्रहादस्य महात्मन:
tato bhayaṃ prādurāsīt prahrādasya mahātmanaḥ | tataḥ mahātmā prahrādako baḍā bhaya huā | punar apṛcchat—“kamalālaye! tvaṃ kutra yāsi? tvaṃ hi satyavratā devī samasta-jagataḥ parameśvarī | sa śreṣṭho brāhmaṇaḥ kaḥ? etad ahaṃ yathāvat jñātum icchāmi”
于是,高贵的普罗诃罗陀心中生起大惧。为恐惧所迫,他又问她道:“噢,莲华之居的女神,你将往何处去?你是守真之女神,是遍世间的至上主宰。那位卓越的婆罗门究竟是谁?我愿明明白白地知晓此事。”
ब्राह्मण उवाच

Prahlāda becomes afraid and urgently questions the lotus-dwelling goddess (Śrī/Lakṣmī), asking where she is going and requesting the true identity of an excellent brāhmaṇa, indicating a turning point that requires clarity and discernment.
