वेदा: प्रतिष्ठा ज्योतिर्भ्यस्ततो हयशिरा: प्रभु: । ब्रह्मा पितामहस्तस्माज्जागर्ति प्रभुरव्यय:
vedāḥ pratiṣṭhā jyotirbhyaḥ tato hayaśirāḥ prabhuḥ | brahmā pitāmahastasmāj jāgarti prabhuravyayaḥ ||
婆苏诃罗摩说道：“由诸天光明而来的是权杖（daṇḍa），凭此权杖，吠陀得以牢固安立。由吠陀而出的是主宰海耶格利瓦（Hayagrīva）；由海耶格利瓦而出的是梵天（Brahmā）——不朽的主、众生之祖。既受持那纪律与统御之杖，他便恒常警醒，为护持并整饬诸世界。”
