मयूरवद्राजधर्मः (Mayūra-vat Rāja-dharma) — The Peacock-Model of Protective Kingship

बाणवद्धिसृता यान्ति स्वामिकार्यपरा नरा: । ये भृत्या: पार्थिवहितास्तेषां सान्त्वं प्रयोजयेत्‌

Transliteration

bāṇavaddhi sṛtā yānti svāmikāryaparā narāḥ | ye bhṛtyāḥ pārthivahitās teṣāṃ sāntvaṃ prayojayet ||

Translation

毗湿摩说道：“凡专心于主君之事者，必如离弦之箭，直趋目标而进。故而，臣仆若尽心为王之利，君主当以和悦甘美之言时时抚慰勉励，使其热忱与忠贞坚固不移。”
