व्याप्रं दृष्टवा क्षुधाभुग्नं देष्टिणं वनगोचरम् । दडीपी जीवितरक्षार्थमृषिं शरणमेयिवान्
vyāghraṁ dṛṣṭvā kṣudhābhugnaṁ deṣṭiṇaṁ vanagocaram | dadīpī jīvitarakṣārtham ṛṣiṁ śaraṇam eyivān ||
毗湿摩言：见一只林中游荡之虎——因饥而体弱，心意转为凶残——那花豹为护自身性命，复又前往仙人处求庇。此事昭示：当危难与掠食兴起，纵是强者亦舍其傲慢，归投于正法（dharma）与护佑之所。
