Durgātitaraṇa—Conduct for Crossing Difficulties (दुर्गातितरणम्)

(अस्मिन्नर्पितकर्माण: सर्वभावेन भारत | कृष्णे कमलपत्राक्षे दुर्गाण्यतितरन्ति ते ।।

bhīṣma uvāca |

asminn arpitakarmāṇaḥ sarvabhāvena bhārata |

kṛṣṇe kamalapatrākṣe durgāṇy atitaranti te ||

brahmāṇaṃ lokakartāraṃ ye namasyanti satpatim |

yaṣṭavyaṃ kratubhir devam durgāṇy atitaranti te ||

yaṃ viṣṇur indraḥ śambhuś ca brahmā lokapitāmahaḥ |

stuvanti vividhaiḥ stotrair devadevaṃ maheśvaram |

tam arcayanti ye satataṃ durgāṇy atitaranti te ||

durgātitaraṇaṃ ye ca paṭhanti śrāvayanti ca |

kathayanti ca viprebhyo durgāṇy atitaranti te ||

毗湿摩说道:婆罗多啊,凡以全心全意将一切行为奉献于莲眼之主黑天(克里希那)者,纵遭最艰巨之灾厄,亦能越渡。凡礼敬梵天——造世之主、护持善者、堪受祭祀供养者——亦得超脱忧苦。又凡恒常奉事那至上主宰、诸神之神者;毗湿奴、因陀罗、商婆(湿婆)以及世界祖父梵天,以种种赞颂歌咏其德——奉事此神者亦能超越险难。同样,凡诵读、令他人听闻,并在婆罗门前宣讲此名为“度伽提多罗那”(Durgātitaraṇa,意为“渡越艰难”)之教者,亦能越过难以逾越的危厄。
