kṛtaṃ bhavaddhiḥ sadṛśam anurūpam ivātmanaḥ

Actions should accord with one’s discernment and inner character; what is ethically ‘fitting’ (anurūpa) is that which aligns with sound judgment (dhiḥ) and one’s true nature (ātman).
Sañjaya reports and evaluates an action just taken, affirming to his listener that it was appropriate and consistent with the person’s own judgment and disposition.
