वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical weight of a granted boon and the social-moral force of rightful praise: when a promise is honored and blessings are received, the recipient departs in contentment, reinforcing trust and dharmic reciprocity.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that a great river (personified) receives praise and a boon, takes her son with her, and leaves happily—marking the close of a brief episode and a transition back to the main flow of events.
