त्वदन्यो नेह संग्रामे कशक्षिज्जीवति संजय । द्वितीयं नेह पश्यामि ससहायाशक्ष पाण्डवा:
tvad-anyo neha saṅgrāme kaścid jīvati sañjaya | dvitīyaṁ neha paśyāmi sa-sahāyāś ca pāṇḍavāḥ ||
三阇耶说道:“在这场战斗中,除你之外,三阇耶,我看不见还有谁可能活着、仍算我所亲爱之人;因为在此我不曾见到别的亲族。反观般度五子却有盟友扶持,阵列犹存。”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the human cost of adharma-driven war: when kinship and moral restraint collapse, one is left with loneliness and the bitter recognition that power without righteous support ends in ruin, while those aligned with support and cohesion endure.
Sañjaya reports a bleak assessment voiced in the aftermath of heavy losses: the speaker feels that among his own side scarcely anyone dear remains alive besides Sañjaya, whereas the Pāṇḍavas are still backed by allies—highlighting the shifting balance and despair on the Kaurava side.
