अनेकशतसाहस्रे बले दुर्योधनस्य ह । नान्यो महारथो राजन् जीवमानो व्यदृश्यत
anekaśata-sāhasre bale duryodhanasya ha | nānyo mahāratho rājan jīvamāno vyadṛśyata ||
桑阇耶说道:“大王啊,在都利约陀那的军中——昔日曾有数十万之众——除德罗那之子、勇士阿湿婆他摩,克利多伐摩,出自瞿昙族的克利波,以及陛下之子都利约陀那王之外,再也看不见任何仍存活的伟大战车武士。”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the devastating cost of adharma-driven conflict: vast armies and famed warriors are reduced to a handful of survivors. It highlights impermanence and the moral weight of choices that lead to collective ruin.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that among Duryodhana’s once-enormous forces, only a few top-tier warriors remain alive—Aśvatthāmā, Kṛtavarmā, Kṛpa, and Duryodhana—indicating the near-total destruction of the Kaurava side.
