Chapter 23: Śakuni Reports, Kaurava Advance, and Arjuna’s Penetration of the Host
ततो युधिष्छिर: प्रेक्ष्य भग्नं स््वबलमन्तिकात् । अभ्यनादयदव्यग्र: सहदेव॑ महाबलम्,तब युधिष्ठिरने पास ही अपनी सेनामें भगदड़ मची देख शान्तभावसे महाबली सहदेवको पुकारा
tato yudhiṣṭhiraḥ prekṣya bhagnaṁ svabalam antikāt | abhyanādayad avyagraḥ sahadevaṁ mahābalam ||
三阇耶说道:“随后,坚战见近旁己军溃散奔逃,却仍不惊惶,镇定地呼唤大力的萨诃提婆。”
संजय उवाच
Even amid defeat and confusion, a dharmic leader restrains agitation (avyagraḥ), assesses the situation clearly, and acts to restore order—placing duty to protect and guide above personal fear.
Yudhiṣṭhira sees his nearby forces breaking into disorder and, without panic, summons the powerful Sahadeva—implying an attempt to rally troops, stabilize the line, or execute a needed tactical response.
