Śalya–Yudhiṣṭhira Duel and the Discharge of the Śakti (शल्यवधप्रसङ्गः)
Pāñcālyaḥ Sātyakiś caiva Mādrīputrau ca Pāṇḍavau | Śakunipramukhān vīrān pratyagṛhlan samantataḥ, rājan ||

The verse highlights coordinated action and steadfastness in a righteous cause: allies act together, surrounding a dangerous opponent (Śakuni’s group). Ethically, it reflects the kṣatriya obligation to confront adharma-supporting forces with courage and disciplined strategy rather than isolated impulse.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Dhṛṣṭadyumna, Sātyaki, and the twin Pāṇḍavas (Nakula and Sahadeva) engage the warriors led by Śakuni, attacking them from all directions as the battle intensifies.
