Educational Q&A

The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in practice: steadfastly protecting a vital point (the chariot wheel) and fulfilling one’s assigned duty with courage and loyalty, even amid danger.

Sañjaya, narrating the battle events, announces that he will describe the warriors’ significant resolve; he notes that the two sons of Mādrī (Nakula and Sahadeva) are acting as protectors of the chariot wheel, guarding it in the combat situation.
