तत्र युद्ध महच्चासीदर्जुनस्य परै: सह । मध्यंदिनगते सूर्ये यमराष्ट्रविवर्धनम्,वहाँ दोपहर होते-होते अर्जुनका शत्रुओंके साथ महाघोर युद्ध होने लगा, जो यमराजके राष्ट्रकी वृद्धि करनेवाला था
tatra yuddhaṁ mahac cāsīd arjunasya paraiḥ saha | madhyaṁdina-gate sūrye yama-rāṣṭra-vivardhanam ||
三阇耶说道：在那里，当太阳行至正午，阿周那与诸敌之间爆发了一场宏大而惨烈的战斗——它扩张了阎摩（Yama，死王）的国度，因为无数武士被送入死亡。此偈凸显战争阴冷的道德重负：即便是英雄的神勇，一旦在大规模厮杀中释放，也会化作增益死神权域的器具。
