अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
संजय उवाच तं शयानं कुरुश्रेष्ठ ततो भरतसत्तम । अश्वत्थामा समालोक्य करुणं पर्यदेवयत्
sañjaya uvāca
taṁ śayānaṁ kuruśreṣṭha tato bharatasattama |
aśvatthāmā samālokya karuṇaṁ paryadevayat ||
三阇耶说道：“噢，俱卢族中最卓越者，噢，婆罗多族中最尊贵者——其后，阿湿婆他摩见到俱卢一族的华饰——杜尤陀那——卧在战场之榻上，便凝望着他，怀着深切的悲悯而哀号起来。”
