कृपोपदेशः — द्रौणेरनिद्रा च
Kṛpa’s Counsel and Drauṇi’s Sleepless Resolve
यक्षायं मित्रपक्षो मे मयि जीवति निर्जित:
yakṣāyaṁ mitrapakṣo me mayi jīvati nirjitaḥ
克利帕说道:“此人如同夜叉一般——是我的盟友与支柱——然而在我尚活着之时,他竟已被人制服。”
कृप उवाच
Even in war, loyalty and responsibility toward one’s allies matter; Kṛpa’s words highlight the ethical sting of seeing a formidable supporter subdued while he himself still lives—an implicit call to uphold honor and protect one’s own.
In the Sauptika Parva’s tense aftermath, Kṛpa speaks about a powerful ally—likened to a yakṣa—who has been defeated, expressing shock or reproach that such a supporter could be overcome while Kṛpa remains alive.
