Brahmaśirastra-pratisaṃhāra — Retraction and redirection of the supreme weapon

Sauptika Parva, Adhyāya 15

यत्तु मे भगवानाह तन्मे कार्यमनन्तरम्‌ | अयं मणिरयं चाहमीषिका तु पतिष्यति

yat tu me bhagavān āha tan me kāryam anantaram | ayaṃ maṇir ayaṃ cāham īṣikā tu patiṣyati |

毗耶娑说道:“然而世尊所命于我者,我必须立刻奉行。此乃宝珠,此乃我身(愿以身归命)。但这根以天界神兵加持的草芒,必将坠向般度族系诸胎中未生之子;因为此至上飞矢从不落空。噫,主宰啊!此兵一经放出,我已无力将其收回。”
