Sabhā Parva, Adhyāya 68 — Pāṇḍavānāṃ Vanavāsa-prasthānaḥ; Duḥśāsana-nindā; Pāṇḍava-pratijñāḥ

सुधन्वाने कहा--दैत्यराज! तुम पुत्रस्नेहकी परवा न करके जो धर्मपर डटे रह गये, इससे प्रसन्न होकर मैं तुम्हारे पुत्रको यह आज्ञा देता हूँ कि यह सौ वर्षोतक जीवित रहे ।।

vidura uvāca—evaṁ vai paramaṁ dharmaṁ śrutvā sarve sabhāsadaḥ | yathāpraśnaṁ tu kṛṣṇāyā manyadhvaṁ tatra ki param ||

苏檀婆说道:“魔族之王啊!你不顾对儿子的爱恋之情,却仍坚守于法(dharma),我因此欢喜,命令你的儿子得以活至百年。” 毗度罗说道:“诸位在座的大臣与王侯!既已听闻这至上的法义,如今请依照黑公主克里希那(德罗帕蒂)所问,陈述你们对这件事的裁断。法本身正受考验之时,还有什么职责高过如实而正当地作答呢?”
