येनेदमीरितं वाक््यं ममैतं तनयं प्रति । प्राउजलिस्तं नमस्यामि ब्रवीतु स पुनर्वच:,“मेरे इस पुत्रके विषयमें जिन्होंने यह बात कही है, उन्हें मैं हाथ जोड़कर प्रणाम करती हूँ। चाहे वे कोई देवता हों अथवा और कोई प्राणी? वे फिर मेरे प्रश्नका उत्तर दें। मैं यह यथार्थरूपसे सुनना चाहती हूँ कि मेरे इस पुत्रकी मृत्युमें कौन निमित्त बनेगा?”
yenedam īritaṁ vākyaṁ mamaitaṁ tanayaṁ prati | prāñjalistaṁ namasyāmi bravītu sa punar vacaḥ |
“凡对我之子说出此言者，我合掌致敬。无论是天神抑或他类众生，愿其再言，答我所问。我欲闻真实：究竟谁将成为我子之死因？”
