Sabhā-praveśa, Dāna, and the Courtly Convergence (सभा-प्रवेशः दानं च)
सभायामृषयस्तस्यां पाण्डवै: सह आसते । आसांचक्रुनरिन्द्राश्न नानादेशसमागता:,उस सभामें ऋषि तथा विभिन्न देशोंसे आये हुए नरेश पाण्डवोंके साथ बैठा करते थे
sabhāyām ṛṣayas tasyāṃ pāṇḍavaiḥ saha āsate | āsāṃ cakrur narendrāś ca nānādeśa-samāgatāḥ ||
毗湿摩波耶那说道:在那王家议事大殿中,诸位仙圣(ṛṣi)与般度五子同坐;诸王亦从四方诸国而来,在殿中就座。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
A righteous court harmonizes spiritual and political authority: sages are honored alongside kings, and a ruler’s legitimacy is reflected in the orderly gathering of respected guests from many regions.
The narrator describes the Pāṇḍavas’ assembly where sages and numerous visiting kings from different lands are seated together, indicating a grand, widely attended royal gathering.
