Bhīmasena’s Digvijaya and Tribute Return (भीमस्य दिग्विजयः धननिवेदनं च)
स तै: परिवृतः सर्वर्विष्वगश्नचं नराधिपम् । अभ्यगच्छन्महातेजा: पौरवं पुरुषर्षभ,नरश्रेष्ठल उन सभी पराजित राजाओंसे घिरे हुए महातेजस्वी अर्जुनने पौरव राजा विष्वगश्वपर आक्रमण किया
sa taiḥ parivṛtaḥ sarvair viṣvag-aśvaṃ narādhipam | abhyagacchan mahātejāḥ pauravaṃ puruṣarṣabhaḥ ||
毗湿摩波耶那说道:四面被那些已败之王所环绕,光辉炽盛、勇力无双的阿周那——人中最胜者——仍挺进而前,直面普罗婆族之主毗湿伽阿湿婆(Viṣvag-aśva),乘胜推进征伐,以兵刃之威摧折王者之傲。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma in action: after victory, a warrior-king (or his champion) must decisively confront remaining resistance, not for personal cruelty but to establish political order and curb unrighteous royal arrogance.
Arjuna, surrounded by already defeated kings, advances to engage Viṣvag-aśva, identified as a Paurava ruler, indicating the continuation of a campaign of subjugation and the next confrontation in the sequence.
