Educational Q&A

The verse models dhārmic inquiry: Yudhiṣṭhira approaches a revered Brahmin with humility and disciplined curiosity, seeking truthful knowledge about his father and the ancestral realm—showing reverence, filial responsibility, and the ethical value of learning from trustworthy sources.

Yudhiṣṭhira questions a Brahmin sage who has visited Pitṛloka, asking him to recount how Pāṇḍu met him there and what Pāṇḍu said, because Yudhiṣṭhira is intensely eager to hear the details directly from the sage.
