Chapter 6: Dāruka’s Report; Arjuna Witnesses Dvārakā’s Desolation (दारुकवृत्तान्तः—अर्जुनस्य द्वारकादर्शनम्)
तयोरपनयात् पार्थ वृष्णयो निधनं गता: । अर्जुन! जो तुम्हारे प्रिय शिष्य थे और जिनका तुम बहुत सम्मान किया करते थे उन्हीं दोनों (सात्यकि और प्रद्युम्न)-के अन्यायसे समस्त वृष्णिवंशी मृत्युको प्राप्त हो गये हैं ।। ६ १ हल || ः ८4१65 न 5 प्ड्ड्ल्द न प (८ # 30.-7-5££-- 8 5 (6 +- _ट जे )५॥॥ 4: >-+:+>) यौ तौ वृष्णिप्रवीराणां द्वावेवातिरथौ मतौ
tayor apanayāt pārtha vṛṣṇayo nidhanaṃ gatāḥ | yāv tau vṛṣṇipravīrāṇāṃ dvāv evātirathau matau ||
婆苏提婆说:“噢,帕尔塔啊,正因那二人之失德与放纵、失去约束,弗利什尼族遂至灭亡。那二人——萨底耶吉与普拉丢姆那——本被视为弗利什尼一族最卓绝的英雄,亦列为大车战士(阿提罗陀),却竟成了使全族覆灭的缘起。”
वसुदेव उवाच
Even the mightiest heroes cannot protect a community when ethical restraint collapses; adharma within—pride, quarrel, and misconduct—can destroy an entire lineage more surely than external enemies.
Vasudeva informs Arjuna that the Vrishni clan has perished, and he points to the role of two celebrated warriors—Sātyaki and Pradyumna—whose wrongful conduct became a key trigger in the chain of events leading to the clan’s annihilation.
