Chapter 6: Dāruka’s Report; Arjuna Witnesses Dvārakā’s Desolation (दारुकवृत्तान्तः—अर्जुनस्य द्वारकादर्शनम्)
आगमगन्ता क्षिप्रमेवेह न मे5त्रास्ति विचारणा । 'प्रभो! अर्जुनके पास संदेश भी पहुँचा होगा। वे महातेजस्वी कुन्तीकुमार यदुवंशियोंके विनाशका यह समाचार सुनकर शीघ्र ही यहाँ आ पहुँचेंगे। इस विषयमें मेरा कोई अन्यथा विचार नहीं है
āgamagantā kṣipram eveha na me ’trāsti vicāraṇā |
瓦苏提婆说道:“他必定很快就会来到这里,我对此毫无疑虑。消息想必已传到阿周那那里。那位威光赫赫的昆蒂之子一听闻雅度族覆灭之讯,必将立刻疾驰而来。此事我想不出别的结果。”
वसुदेव उवाच
The verse underscores the inevitability of consequences and the swift unfolding of fate after the collapse of a lineage; it also reflects moral certainty—Vasudeva’s conviction that Arjuna, bound by duty and kinship, will respond immediately upon hearing of the Yadus’ destruction.
In the Mausala Parva’s aftermath, Vasudeva anticipates Arjuna’s imminent arrival, reasoning that the news of the Yadu clan’s annihilation has already reached him and that Arjuna will rush to the scene without delay.
