इन्द्र और शम्बरासुरके समान एक-दूसरेसे डाह रखनेवाले उन दोनों वीरोंमें उस समय घोर युद्ध आरम्भ हुआ, जो कायरोंके हृदयमें भय उत्पन्न करनेवाला था ।।

indra-śambarāsura-samāv anyonyasya dāhaṃ dhārayantau tau vīrau tadā ghoraṃ yuddham ārabhētām, yat kāyarāṇāṃ hṛdayeṣu bhayaṃ janayati ||
tayor dhvajī vītamalau śuśubhāte rathe sthitau |
rāhu-ketū yathākāśe uditau jagataḥ kṣaye ||
桑阇耶说道：当时，那两位英雄彼此怀怨，犹如因陀罗与阿修罗商婆罗一般，遂爆发出一场惨烈的大战，足以令怯者心生恐惧。两人的战车之上，洁净无瑕的旗幡灿然生辉，仿佛在世界毁灭之际，罗睺与计都同时升起于天穹。
