तथान्ये प्राद्रवन् मूढा: पराड्मुखरथे<र्जुने,जब अर्जुनका रथ दूसरी ओर जाने लगा, तब दूसरे मूढ़ कौरव योद्धा लोग उनपर टूट पड़े। उस समय कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनने उन आक्रमणकारियोंके ध्वज, अश्व, धनुष और बाणोंको नाराचों और अर्धचन्द्रोंद्वारा शीघ्र ही काट गिराया
tathānye prādravan mūḍhāḥ parāṅmukharathe 'rjune | tadā kuntīkumāro 'rjunaḥ prahārakānāṃ dhvajān aśvān dhanūṃṣi bāṇāṃś ca nārācair ardhacandraiś ca śīghraṃ ciccheda ||
三阇耶说道:当阿周那的战车转向另一方位时,其他迷狂的俱卢战士便冲上前来,群起攻之。于是,昆蒂之子阿周那以那罗遮箭与月牙形箭镞迅疾斩落来犯者的旗幡、战马、弓与箭——显出的是有节制的战技精熟,而非鲁莽的怒火。
संजय उवाच
The verse contrasts deluded, impulsive aggression (mūḍhatā) with disciplined skill and restraint. Arjuna responds to a sudden assault not with panic but with precise, proportionate action—an ethical ideal in kṣatriya conduct where mastery and clarity overcome confusion.
As Arjuna’s chariot turns toward another direction, Kaurava fighters surge to attack him. Arjuna immediately neutralizes their offensive capacity by severing key battle elements—standards, horses, bows, and arrows—using powerful nārāca shafts and crescent-headed (ardhacandra) missiles.
