प्रपतन्तं रथात् कर्ण पश्यन्तु वसुधाधिपा: । “आज तुम्हारे बाणोंसे पीड़ित हुए भूमिपाल दीन और विषादयुक्त होकर हाहाकार मचाते हुए कर्णको रथसे नीचे गिरता देखें
prapatantaṁ rathāt karṇa paśyantu vasudhādhipāḥ |
三阇耶说道:“愿大地诸王目睹迦尔那从战车上坠落——为你之箭所中,痛苦煎熬——而那些受创的君王,满怀绝望,发出哀号之声。”
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the moral gravity of war: even the mightiest warrior can be brought low, and the spectacle of a hero’s fall becomes a public lesson in the consequences of violence, pride, and the inexorable working of fate within kṣatriya conflict.
Sañjaya describes a battlefield moment in which Karṇa is seen falling from his chariot, struck by arrows; surrounding kings, themselves wounded and demoralized, cry out in anguish as they witness the reversal of fortune.
