अथ दस्युभयात् केचित् तदा तद् वनमाविशन् | तत्रापि दस्यव: क्रुद्धास्तानमार्गन्त यत्नतः
atha dasyubhayāt kecit tadā tad vanam āviśan | tatrāpi dasyavaḥ kruddhās tān amārganta yatnataḥ ||
于是,有些人因惧怕盗贼,便进入那片森林躲藏。然而即便在那里,盗贼们怒火中烧,仍竭力细细搜寻他们——显明恐惧能驱使无辜者陷入险境,而愤怒与贪欲则使暴徒在追逐中毫不松懈。
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights a moral contrast: fear may force ordinary people into risky refuge, but unchecked anger and predatory intent make wrongdoers persistent. It implicitly warns that adharma (violence, greed) does not easily stop at boundaries, and that emotions like fear and anger shape human action and consequence.
Some people, frightened of robbers, enter a forest to hide. The robbers, however, become angry and actively search for them even within the forest, pursuing them with deliberate effort.
