जिघांसुस्तोमरै: क्रुद्धो दण्डपाणिरिवान्तक: । “यह निषादपुत्र श्रेष्ठ गजराजपर आरूढ़ हो तोमरोंद्वारा भीमसेनको मार डालनेकी इच्छासे क्रोधमें भरे हुए दण्डपाणि यमराजके समान उनपर आक्रमण कर रहा है || ८०६ || सतोमरावस्य भुजौ छिन्नौ भीमेन गर्जत:

Transliteration

jighāṃsus tomaraiḥ kruddho daṇḍapāṇir ivāntakaḥ |

Translation

三阇耶说道：他怒火炽盛，怀着必杀之心，执持投枪（tomara）猛然冲上前来——如同安多迦（Antaka，死神）亲临，又如阎摩（Yama）手持刑杖——一心要击倒毗摩塞那。此景凸显战争的道德张力：私愤与嗜杀压过克制，而英雄之勇也在那不可逃避的“死亡”形象前被衡量。
