Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the escalation of war into overwhelming, even deceptive, force: when conflict abandons restraint, power (including illusion and divine weaponry) can eclipse clarity and safety. Implicitly, it warns that dharma in battle depends not only on strength but on disciplined limits and right intention.

Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that Kaurava elite warriors are concentrating their attacks on King Yudhisthira, showering him with dense volleys of missiles and employing named weapon-formsSthunakarna, Indrajala, and the Pashupatato envelop and endanger him.
