अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च

अपारयन्तो मद्बाणान् सिंहशब्दं मृगा इव । 'जनार्दन! युद्ध करती हुई इस संशप्तक-सेनाके पाँव उखड़ गये हैं। ये संशप्तक महारथी अपने-अपने दलके साथ भागे जा रहे हैं। जैसे मृग सिंहकी गर्जना सुनकर हतोत्साह हो जाते हैं

apārayanto madbāṇān siṃhaśabdaṃ mṛgā iva |
三阇耶说道：他们无法承受我的箭矢，便如鹿闻狮吼一般。于是，战中受震的三誓军（Saṃśaptaka）脚步动摇，随各部纷纷溃逃——诸大车战士亦乱阵而退，勇气被那再也承受不起的打击所摧折。
