युधिष्ठटिरमथायान्तं शारद्वतरथं प्रति । सपुत्रं सहसैन्यं च द्रोणपुत्रो न््यवारयत्,इसी प्रकार पुत्र और सेनासहित युधिष्ठिरको कृपाचार्यके रथपर चढ़ाई करते देख द्रोणपुत्र अश्वत्थामाने रोका
sañjaya uvāca |
yudhiṣṭhiram athāyāntaṃ śāradvataraṃ prati |
saputraṃ sahasainyaṃ ca droṇaputro nyavārayat ||
三阇耶说道:同样地,见坚战(由提施提罗)携诸子并率军众奔向舍罗陀婆多(克利帕)之战车,德罗那之子阿湿婆他摩将其拦阻制止。
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how, in war, personal righteousness and intention are continually tested by opposing duties. Even a king like Yudhiṣṭhira, acting with resolve and support, can be forcibly checked—showing that dharma in battle is not merely inner conviction but must contend with the rival dharma of the enemy side.
Yudhiṣṭhira advances toward Kṛpa’s chariot with his sons and troops. Aśvatthāmā, son of Droṇa, sees this movement and blocks him, preventing or delaying his advance.
