कर्ण रणे महाराज पुत्राणां तव पश्यताम् । महाराज! तदनन्तर युद्धका हौसला रखनेवाले भीमसेनने अपने बाणोंसे आपके पुत्रोंके देखते-देखते कर्णको आच्छादित कर दिया
karṇa raṇe mahārāja putrāṇāṃ tava paśyatām | mahārāja! tad-anantaraṃ yuddha-kā hauslā rakhanewāle bhīmasenane apne bāṇoṃse āpke putroṃke dekhte-dekhte karṇako ācchādita kara diyā
三阇耶说道:大王啊,当你的诸子在旁观望之时,迦尔那立于战阵最激烈之处。随后,大王啊,毗摩塞那——在战中无所畏惧、意志坚决——以箭如骤雨,竟在你诸子眼前将迦尔那射得满身皆是。此景昭示:战场上的勇气与不懈之力,纵在权势见证之下亦能颠覆预料;战争所考验的不仅是臂力,更是心志之坚。
संजय उवाच
The passage highlights battlefield resolve: valor is shown not merely by status or spectatorship, but by sustained effort under pressure. It also implies an ethical tension of war—public witnessing does not prevent violence, but it intensifies responsibility and the moral weight of outcomes.
Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that, as the Kaurava princes watched, Bhima launched a fierce arrow-shower at Karna, effectively covering or obscuring him with missiles in the midst of combat.
