कर्णनिधनश्रवणम् — Hearing of Karṇa’s Fall and Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Lament
सध्वजा: सायुधा: शूरा: सवर्माम्बरभूषणा: । कालेन महता यत्ता: कुशलैयें च वर्धिता:
sadhvajāḥ sāyudhāḥ śūrāḥ savarmāmbarabhūṣaṇāḥ | kālena mahatā yattāḥ kuśalaiś ca vardhitāḥ ||
三阇耶说道:“他们是配有旌旗与兵刃的勇士,身披甲胄,衣饰华美。经由漫长岁月的纪律磨砺,又以娴熟训练而愈加坚强,他们整军待发——一支由忍耐、秩序与久练之能所铸成的军队;当战争的法义重担逼近之时,他们已然准备就绪。”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights that martial strength is not merely bravery but the result of sustained discipline and expert training; ethical responsibility in war is intensified when power is carefully cultivated and organized.
Sañjaya describes the warriors as fully equipped—bearing banners, weapons, armor, and fine attire—and emphasizes that they have been prepared over a long time and strengthened by skilled guidance, setting the scene for imminent battle.
