Yudhiṣṭhira’s Reproach to Dhanaṃjaya

इति ब्रुवाणा हा॒न्योन्यं जषघ्नुर्योधा महारणे | “उठो, मारो, आगे बढ़ो, टूट पड़ो' इत्यादि वाक्य बोलते हुए सब योद्धा उस महासमरमें एक-दूसरेको मारने लगे ।। ६८ $ ।। अभ्रच्छायेव तत्रासीच्छरवृष्टिभिरम्बरे

Transliteration

iti bruvāṇā hanyonyam jaṣaghnur yodhā mahāraṇe | uṭho māro āge baḍho ṭūṭa paḍo ityādi vākya bolate hue sab yoddhā usa mahāsamareṃ eka-dūsare ko mārane lage || abhracchāyeva tatrāsīc charavṛṣṭibhir ambare ||

Translation

Sañjaya said: Speaking thus—shouting commands like “Rise up! Strike! Advance! Charge!”—the warriors in that great battle fell upon one another and began to slay. And in the sky there, the rain of arrows spread like a mass of clouds, casting a shadow over the field.
