Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
हंसस्य पतितं काको बलवानाशुविक्रम: । तब वहाँ आये हुए सारे कौए जोर-जोरसे हँसने लगे और आपसमें बोले--“भला यह हंस एक ही उड़ानसे सौ प्रकारकी उड़ानोंको कैसे जीत सकता है? यह कौआ बलवान् और शीघ्रतापूर्वक उड़नेवाला है; अतः सौमेंसे एक ही उड़ानद्वारा हंसकी उड़ानको पराजित कर देगा'
haṃsasya patitaṃ kāko balavān āśu-vikramaḥ |
“一只乌鸦扑向天鹅——其势强悍，来势迅疾。”于是，聚集在那里的众乌鸦放声大笑，彼此说道：“这天鹅只凭一种飞法，怎能胜过百般飞法？这乌鸦力大而迅捷；因此，只消那百种飞法中的一种，便足以击败天鹅的飞行！”
