Renewal of the Karṇa–Arjuna Engagement at Day’s End
प्रमुखे वर्तमान तु द्विपं वज्गस्य सात्यकि: । नाराचेनोग्रवेगेन भित्त्वा मर्माण्यपातयत्,इसी समय सात्यकिने अपने सामने उपस्थित हुए वंगराजके हाथीके मर्मस्थानोंको भयंकर वेगवाले नाराचसे विदीर्ण करके उसे धराशायी कर दिया
pramukhe vartamānaṃ tu dvipaṃ vaṅgasya sātyakiḥ | nārācenogravegena bhittvā marmāṇy apātayat ||
三阇耶说道：随后，萨底耶吉在前锋处迎战旁伽王的战象，以一支锋利如刃、疾速骇人的那罗遮箭射中其要害，洞穿命门，使那巨象轰然倒地。此景凸显战场“不得不然”的冷峻法则：技艺与决断被用来制止连强大的战象也在所不惜，只为护佑己方并折断敌军的推进。
