Droṇa’s sweeping assault and the Abhimanyu–Jayadratha close-quarters episode (द्रोणस्य भीषणव्यचरितम् / सौभद्र-जयद्रथ-संनिपातः)
यत्नमाना: प्रयत्नेन द्रोणानीकविशातने । न शेकुः सृञ्जया युद्धे तद्धि द्रोणेन पालितम्
yatnamānāḥ prayatnena droṇānīka-viśātane | na śekuḥ sṛñjayā yuddhe taddhi droṇena pālitam | āptair āśu parijñātaṃ bhāradvāja-cikīrṣitam |
桑阇耶说道：“斯林阇耶诸将竭尽全力，欲摧破德罗纳的战阵，却在此战中不能得逞，因为那支军队被德罗纳严密护持。与此同时，通过可信的密探，婆罗堕阇之子（德罗纳）所欲成之事也迅速被探明。”
