भीष्मस्य मध्याह्नयुद्धवर्णनम् / Mid-day Battle Description: Bhīṣma Engaged by the Pāñcālas

वैदूर्यमणिदण्डैश्व॒ पतितैरड्कुशै: शुभै: । उनके कारण वह युद्धस्थल जलके स्रोत बहानेवाले पर्वतोंसे युक्त-सा प्रतीत होता था। वहाँ नाना प्रकारके रंगवाले कम्बल

vaidūryamaṇidaṇḍaiś ca patitair aṅkuśaiḥ śubhaiḥ |

三阇耶说道:“战场残骸之间,散落着精美的御象钩棒,其柄镶嵌着吠琉璃(猫眼)宝石,尽皆坠落尘埃。如此贵重之器被抛在土中,使那战地仿佛成了泉源奔涌的山国——‘源头’与沟渠纵横,宛如王者生活的富贵与秩序被战争击碎,倾泻而出。”
