तन्मे दहति गात्राणि शुष्कवृक्षमिवानल: । यदिच्छामि महाभाग त्वत्प्रसादात् परंतप
sañjaya uvāca |
anme dahati gātrāṇi śuṣkavṛkṣam ivānalaḥ |
yad icchāmi mahābhāga tvatprasādāt paraṃtapa |
kathayāmāsa durdharṣo viniḥśvasya punaḥ punaḥ ||
三阇耶说道：“这耻辱灼烧我的四肢，如烈火吞噬枯木。尊贵者啊，焚敌者啊，凭借你的恩许，我愿使此事得成。”于是，那难以降伏的杜罗约陀那一再长叹，诉说其事——求毗湿摩扶持，以洗雪败辱、重振名誉；在战争严酷的道德秩序里，受伤的骄傲往往驱使人走向更深的暴烈。
