Adhyāya 92: Irāvanta-śoka, punaḥ-pravṛttiḥ saṅgrāmasya
Arjuna’s grief and the battle’s renewed intensity
tataḥ sarvāṇi sainyāni dharmaputrasya śāsanāt | saṃrabdhāny abhyavartanta bhīṣmam eva jighāṃsayā ||

The verse highlights the ethical strain of dharma in war: disciplined obedience to a legitimate commander and the demands of strategy can compel warriors to act against a revered elder. It points to how duty and necessity may override personal reverence, intensifying the moral complexity of Kurukṣetra.
Sañjaya reports that, following Yudhiṣṭhira’s order, the Pāṇḍava forces collectively rush forward in anger and concentrate their assault on Bhīṣma, aiming to bring him down.
