The Advance toward Bhīṣma and Counter-Engagements
sañjaya uvāca | duryodhana-prabhūtayaḥ pragṛhīta-śarāsanāḥ | bhṛśam aśraiḥ prajavitaiḥ prayayur yatra te rathāḥ ||

The verse underscores how leadership and intent convert inner hostility into organized action. Ethically, it warns that when power and resolve are yoked to anger, conflict accelerates rapidly—making restraint and discernment crucial even amid kṣatriya warfare.
Sañjaya reports that Duryodhana and the Kaurava warriors, holding their bows ready, rush forward in their chariots driven by swift horses toward the position where the opposing chariots (Pāṇḍava-side forces) are gathered.
