शराहता भिन्नदेहा बद्धयोक्त्रा हयोत्तमा: | युगानि पर्यकर्षन्त तत्र तत्र सम भारत,भारत! कितने ही उत्तम घोड़ोंके शरीर बाणोंसे आहत होकर क्षत-विक्षत हो गये थे, तो भी रथके साथ रस्सीमें बँधे हुए थे, इसलिये रथके जूओंको इधर-उधर खींचते रहते थे

三阇耶说道：纵被箭矢射中，躯体破裂残伤，那些上等战马——仍被轭带牢牢系住——在战场上依旧把车轭拖来拖去，被痛楚与战争不息的惯性所驱使。此景显出交战的冷酷机括：即便高贵的生灵，也因缰具与职责的束缚，在重创之下仍被迫前行。
