Educational Q&A

Even amid violent conflict, righteous conduct emphasizes control and proportion: one should counter harmful force effectively while maintaining discipline, avoiding reckless escalation. The verse highlights preparedness and steadiness as ethical strengths in war.

In the ongoing battle, Bhīṣma has launched powerful weapons. The opposing hero (implied by context) successfully wards them off and then advances, standing ready to fight with his own troops, who are encouraged and energized.
