Description of the Dvīpa, Varṣas, and Mount Meru

ब्रह्मलोकच्युता: सर्वे सर्वे सर्वेषु साधव: । तपस्तप्यन्ति ते तीव्र भवन्ति हार्ध्वरेतस: । रक्षणार्थ तु भूतानां प्रविशन्ते दिवाकरम्‌

sañjaya uvāca |

brhmalokacyutāḥ sarve sarve sarveṣu sādhavaḥ |

tapastapyanti te tīvraṃ bhavanti ūrdhvaretasaḥ |

rakṣaṇārthaṃ tu bhūtānāṃ praviśanti divākaram |

三阇耶说道:“他们全都是从梵天界(Brahmaloka)降下的有德之众,性本贤善,对一切众生皆以慈和相待。他们修行严酷苦行,作为坚定的梵行者(ūrdhvaretaḥ)守持清净,摄护精气。随后,为护佑万类,他们进入太阳之中,成为其维系世界之力的一部分。”
