Sañjaya urges the king to face reality with clear judgment: victory and defeat in the war are not to be explained away as sorcery or secret spells, but understood through genuine causes such as merit, strategy, leadership, and dharma.
In his report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, Sañjaya asks the king to listen attentively and to conclude for himself that the Pāṇḍavas are not relying on mantras or magical deception; the reasons for the Kauravas’ setbacks lie elsewhere.
